Certifications

is proud of its reputation as a global logistics partner. Our many
certifications demonstrate that we meet rigorous standards for quality
service.
International Air Transport Association (IATA)
The IATA is the trade association of the world's
international airline industry. Continual efforts through IATA ensure
that people, freight and mail can move around the vast global airline
network as easily as if they were on a single airline in a single
country - and that aircraft can operate safely, securely, efficiently
and economically - under clearly defined and understood rules. (See
www.iata.org)
Cargo Network Service Certified (CNS)
Registering with this authority is crucial,
as CNS certification is a necessary part of operating as a Forward
in
the Air Sector
of
the
industry.
Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism
(C-TPAT)
C-TPAT is a joint initiative between government
and business designed to protect the security of cargo entering
the United States while improving the flow of trade. C-TPAT requires
importers to assess old methods and communicate new practices that
ensure tighter security of cargo and enhanced security throughout
the entire supply chain. In return, their goods and conveyances
will receive expedited processing into the United States. C-TPAT
offers businesses an opportunity to play an active role in the war
against terrorism. Through C-TPAT, Customs is asking businesses
to ensure the integrity of their security practices and communicate
their security guidelines to their business partners throughout
the supply chain. (See www.customs.gov)
Non Vessel Owning Common Carrier (NVOCC)
NVOCC is a certification allowing forwarders
such as AGI to import and export via the ocean without owning vessels
of their own. AGI subcontracts these operations to steamship lines
that own the vessels used to transport our client's frieght from
its origin to destination point.
Licensed U.S. Customs
employs licensed customs brokers as well
as Hazmat certified employees, so the company can handle all types
of cargo, including food and drug, fish and wildlife, ADD/CVD, and
warehouse entries and withdrawals. AGI’s licensed employees spend
significant time training outside of the office
Department of Transportation (DOT)
In order to operate our Domestic and Trucking
Services smoothly, AGI is registered and in compliance with all
Department of Transportation laws and regulations. (See
www.dot.gov)
Federal Maritime Commission (FMC)
The FMC has many responsibilities in the shipping
industry. It protects shippers, carriers and others engaged in the
foreign commerce of the U.S. from the restrictive rules and regulations
of foreign governments. It also licenses U.S.-based international
ocean transportation intermediaries. (See www.fmc.gov)
Automatic Manifest System (AMS)
AMS links AGI's customs brokerage
department directly with US Customs to streamline the customs clearance
process.
